Marine Corps Awards Lightweight Body Armor Insert Contract to Point Blank Enterprises

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — Point Blank Enterprises Inc. has been awarded a $215.9 million body armor contract by the Marine Corps Systems Command, the company announced in a June 24 release.

The Marine Corps Low Intensity Threat Environment (LITE) body armor insert is a new small-arms protective insert that is designed to improve the survivability and mobility of Marines by maximizing ballistic protection at a reduced weight.
