Sensor Builders Sparton, Logos Evolve to Twenty-Six Defense Maritime

DELEON SPRINGS, Fla. — Sparton DeLeon Springs, LLC (Sparton), and Logos Technologies are now operating as Twenty-Six Defense Maritime. The new name reflects the company’s continued evolution and its commitment to delivering U.S.-built technologies that have strengthened America’s national security for more than a century.
The change coincides with the launch of Twenty-Six Defense, formerly Elbit Systems of America, the U.S. operating segment of Elbit Systems Ltd. Twenty-Six Defense is an American defense company employing 3,300 people across eight states who support the U.S. military. The brand evolution underscores the company’s focus on serving U.S. customers through domestic design, engineering and manufacturing excellence.
Twenty-Six Defense Maritime remains a world leader in high-performance sonobuoys, undersea electronics, and includes Logos Technologies’ advanced imagery solutions. It continues its role in advancing the broader maritime capabilities of Twenty-Six Defense, and Donnelly Bohan will continue to lead Twenty-Six Defense Maritime as CEO.
“From pioneering America’s first all-electric radio in the 1920s to becoming a cornerstone of U.S. antisubmarine warfare technology in the 1950s, our heritage has always been rooted in American innovation,” Bohan said. “As we move forward as Twenty-Six Defense Maritime, we will continue to integrate precision engineering, advanced sensor systems and mission-critical maritime solutions to meet today’s challenges and prepare for those ahead. To honor our 125-year legacy, the Sparton name will continue as a product brand across our sonobuoy portfolio.”
Founded in 1900 as The Withington Company, Sparton has grown from a small Michigan manufacturer into a trusted defense partner known for complex maritime sensors, advanced undersea warfare technologies and beyond. The company was acquired in 2021 by Elbit Systems of America, now Twenty-Six Defense. Twenty-Six Defense is a subsidiary of Elbit Systems Ltd., which is traded on NASDAQ.
